Our President Message

JGI, Inc. was established as a subsidiary of Japan Petroleum Exploration Co.,Ltd. (JAPEX) in April 1983. JGI is a specialized technical service company dedicated to the applied geoscience field with the high degree of technical capability consisting of fully experienced in geophysical surveys and the latest facilities in the industry.

JGI has been carrying out a variety of geophysical surveys exploring for petroleum and natural gas energy resources in domestic and overseas, while pursuing research and development to develop the necessary basic and applied technologies. Remote sensing techniques are also used to search the earth from space.

JGI's technical services cover not only the field of petroleum and natural gas surveys, but also the exploration for geothermal energy, (another subsurface energy resource) and a variety of consulting businesses, including large scale surveys of the earth's crust for earthquake hazard prevention. Related technologies are also applied in civil engineering.

We have been independently developing surveying the geophysical survey equipment, mainly represented by MS2000/3000(Earth quake Monitoring System), and the data processing/analyzing software. Furthermore, we have been continuously improving our products in order to meet the regional environmental requirements and topographical and geological survey conditions becoming more difficult year by year. Our continuous efforts and excellent performance have been highly evaluated and praised in the industry.

As an advanced technical service company in the exploration of the earth, JGI will do its utmost to promote and develop its technologies so that JGI can accommodate the requests of its clients all over the world.
