1984	Transferal of JAPEX's Computing/ Data Processing Departments to JGI Beijing Office was opened
1986	Transferal of JAPEX's Seismic Fields Operation Department to JGI
1994	Head Office Moved to Higashi Shinagawa, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo
1995	Ranzan Research Center was opened
1998	Head Office Moved to Otsuka, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo
2002	Sapporo, Akita and Nagaoka Offices were opened
