GDAPS-4R

JGI has been offering a highly computerized cable system called GDAPS-3/4 and acquired splendid reputation from the users. Upon its experience, JGI has continued developing more useful system for the users, and newly produced Radio Link System, "GDAPS-4R". This system transfers digital seismic data acquired in the field unit RSU (Remote Station Unit) to CRU(Central Recording Unit) by a quite new method of data transmission.

New Method of Seismic Data Transmission

The new method of seismic data transmission used in GDAPS-4R makes it possible to use the radio and cable simultaneously. It is now offered for users as a powerful, flexible and cost-effective system, which works in more difficult survey area, such as an intersection of road, river, lake, swamp and shallow water. The major characteristics of this method are a high-speed radio data transmission by the latest RF technology. It realizes 4Mbps-transmission rate, which is as same as the cable link, and transmits data as if a cable connects every RSU.

Combination of Radio System and Cable System

GDAPS-4R combines the radio system and the cable system by making it possible to use them at the same time, and can easily be applied 2D/3D survey as well as GDAPS-4. Built-in stacker/correlator in RSU makes the practical vibrator operation possible, which has been difficult to realize in radio system so far.
